Q: Is Spot UV the same thing as embossed printing?
No, Spot UV produces a slightly raised effect on specific areas whereas embossed elements are raised on one side and recessed on the other.
Q: What type of paper can I emboss?
Emboss can be applied to multiple paper stock options such as Premium Uncoated, Soft Touch, Linen, Premium Silk, Spot UV, Pearl, Kraft, embossed and Die-cut cards.
Q: Can I get embossed business cards with rounded corners? Or in a square shape?
Yes, we offer embossing for these shapes.
Q: Can you emboss on both sides?
No, embossing will show a reverse impression on the opposite side of the stock (deboss). Your emboss effect will only be forward reading on one side of the card.No
Q: How can I show you where I would like to emboss?
You must provide a separate Emboss mask file: black in the areas you want the foil and white in the areas you do not want the foil. All black areas should be solid 100% K with no other added colours.
